Mineah Foundation was founded by a survivor who has seen first-hand the impact that trauma and lack of support has had on her and her daughter.
Our amazing team is dedicated to working toward filling in the gaps in services provided to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assualt. Having lived through traumatic assaults themselves and the aftermath, they have both a unique perspective and a passion for helping survivors and their families.
We have seen the lack of available support services for victims of violence and how it adds to the trauma experienced as survivors feel abandoned and alone in their pain.
Our mission is to bring together donors who support our cause and agencies who can provide support services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Through research, fundraising and grants, we aim to bridge the gap between available support and the services needed by survivors to pull themselves back up and recover from trauma.
We are currently working through the planning phase, figuring out what needs to be done to get our foundation off the ground and move forward in our goals of supporting survivors.
Through independent research of available materials and interviews with both survivors and organizations that provide services to survivors, we will identify the areas where services are needed.
We will seek financial support from donors who support our cause and use the funds to cover operating costs and to fund grants to organizations that can provide the needed services.
A yearly grant award process will be set up and we will solicit applications from organizations that can provide services. We will then award grants and monitor the progress toward our goals.
Your support and donations will enable us to meet our goals of helping survivors to recover and thrive.
